Tropical Hideaway is a small boutique style, luxury property, consisting of five private Villas, Suites and Studios surrounded by vibrant and mature tropical gardens. We specialise in couples and small groups from 1 to 12 guests and offer an informal, private and relaxed atmosphere. All accommodations are available to book either individually or as a collective group and we pride ourselves with our genuine friendly service and the experience we offer our guests.

Private Facilities

All rooms offer private facilities to the highest of standards including verandas with views that will literally take your breath away. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and luxuriously appointed and well equipped kitchens allow you the convenience of preparing your own food and to dine Al Fresco style on your own private veranda.

From 1000 thread count luxury linens to cruelty free organic soaps and shampoos and with our ethos of recycling and not using one off plastics our attention to detail is often commented on by our guests. Our rooms are screened allowing a bug free environment and with our usual Caribbean breeze and amazing views, Al Fresco dining on your own private veranda is simply a delight. Quality ceiling fans and air conditioning are available in your room as are the latest smart 4k flat screen TVs, USB-A / USB-C charging points, adaptor plugs and Wi-Fi throughout. The Infinity Pool, Pool Bar and Gazebo

Tropical Hideaway has an 58′ wide panoramic Infinity pool and is quoted by the ‘Times’ as being one of the top ten pools in the Caribbean. The Infinity pool is a stunning feature of the property and with the eco friendly solar heating, the pool can be enjoyed at all times of the year. Typically our daytime pool temperatures are around 34 deg C (94 F) in summer and 29 deg C (84 F) in Winter. There is a swim up sunken Pool Bar (self service) complete with icemaker, fridge, blender and sink. Adjoining the pool is a Gazebo complete with a large daybed and the views from here are just incredible. A perfect place to relax and read a book or simply enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Caribbean Sea Views

Our panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and Admiralty Bay are simply breathtaking and will not disappoint. Sunsets can be stunning with the elusive ‘Green Flash’ often being seen, yet this is only the beginning. As darkness descends Admiralty Bay comes to life and Tropical Hideaway is uniquely positioned to enjoy some outstanding ‘24 hour’ views. Yes our night time views are as good as our day time ones. The twinkling lights from the ships below mixed with the ambient lighting around the pool and gardens allow that special moment to continue long after the sun has set.

Beaches, Bars, Restaurants and Shops

Princess Margaret and Lower Bay are the nicest beaches on the Island and are only a short downhill walk from Tropical Hideaway. Pristine and often uncrowded with crystal clear waters and fine white sand, they offer a wonderful day out on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. The recently renovated Belmont Walkway joins three of Bequia’s beautiful beaches together and meanders around lovely headlands offering both excellent snorkeling and a leisurely 2 mile walk passing rum bars, cafes, restaurants and small shops. This is the Caribbean of 30 years ago, genuine, safe and friendly where the local Bequian people are always happy to chat.

Eco Friendly Luxury Holidays – At One with Nature

Set in 4 1/2 acres of natural forest in a hillside position, high above the famous Princess Margaret Beach our panoramic views overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Admiralty Bay and the surrounding forested hillsides are absolutely stunning. Our paved woodland nature trail connects Tropical Hideaway with the road below and allows access to the most beautiful beaches on the island in around 15 minutes and to the bars and restaurants in a few minutes more. Our environmental ethos is second to none, from solar power to Island recycling projects, from the latest Led lighting technologies to produce from our own gardens, we pride ourselves on our ‘Eco friendly’ initiatives.

We funded Bequia’s glass crushing machine which allows Bequia’s glass waste to be used in local block and road construction and not landfill
Our roofs are both aesthetically pleasing and traditional in design and use materials made from 100% recycled aluminum and plastic

How to get Here

Tropical Hideaway is situated on Bequia a small Island close to the mainland called St Vincent. An international airport was recently completed on St Vincent allowing easy access to Bequia using a ferry service (30 – 60 mins) that operates several times a day.
